The Friends are delighted to announce that the Petrie Memorial Lecture will return on the 5th September 2025. It has been 25 years since the first Petrie Memorial Lecture in 2000, so this will be an exciting anniversary.
At 6.30pm on Friday the 5th of September. Peter J. Brand (Director, Karnak Hypostyle Hall Project) will speak on Ideological Themes and Motifs in Ramesses II’s Kadesh Narrative.
The lecture will take place in Lecture Theatre G6 in the Institute of Archaeology, Gordon Square and followed by a reception. There is no extra cost for the lecture this year but if you wish to attend in-person, RSVP to pmf@friendsofpetrie.org.uk.
We will also send a zoom link in the week of the 5th September for Friends who wish to attend online.
